Before ordering several capsules: a first unit is not always a prototype
Editorial update: 29 October 2026. Ask whether the supplier accepts an initial unit with an identified drawing and equipment list, what can change afterwards, and how the approved version will carry through to the batch. Capsulair makes samples project-dependent; Domuscabin publishes a one-unit minimum order. Neither statement alone accepts your test programme or guarantees a whole series.
Cross-check specifications too: Domuscabin’s Capsule House page describes polyurethane in its table and rock wool elsewhere. Clarify that discrepancy in writing for the quoted model rather than assigning one insulation system to its entire catalogue. Sources reviewed: Capsulair FAQ and Domuscabin Capsule House. How to request comparable quotations
Send suppliers the same brief: destination country and municipality, intended use, area, number of units, plot status and indicative timing. Request separate design, manufacturing, transport, unloading, assembly, foundations, utility and tax scopes. Assign a responsible party to each exclusion. Do not compare a factory unit with a completed home using advertised totals alone.
What if I want an affordable home?
This selection cannot identify the cheapest option. That requires dated prices with comparable area, equipment, currency and scope, plus the cost of installation at a specific destination. Where a comparable price is unavailable, request a quote rather than inventing a starting price. A luxury shortlist does not become an affordable one by changing its title.
