A capsule home does not end at delivery. Windows, roofs, joints and services need to be inspectable and maintainable. Buying with that perspective helps select a home that remains practical beyond its first year.
Request the manual before deciding
Ask for instructions covering the materials and equipment in the offered configuration. Establish which checks belong to the owner and which require professionals. Do not adopt a generic schedule: products, exposure and use can require different care.
Check access to filters, equipment and connections. An elegant finish that requires removing a wall for routine work deserves explanation. The aim is reasonable access to maintain components.
After-sales service has a location too
When buying from afar, establish who diagnoses problems and who works in your area. Request an incident procedure and clarify parts, labour and travel under the agreed terms.
Ask for brands and references of replaceable equipment. Knowing which air conditioner or window is fitted helps resolve a fault; “premium system” does not provide equivalent information.
Keep a short history of the home
Save final drawings, manuals, specifications and intervention records. Note relevant changes and retain photographs when concealed elements are opened. This helps future professionals avoid starting from scratch.
Review warranty conditions in the offer and agreement. This article proposes no universal warranty period and does not equate commercial warranties with applicable legal obligations.
