How to assess a capsule home manufacturer

Published 2026-09-28 · Updated 2026-10-17 · Leer en español

An attractive product listing is the beginning of the investigation. To compare manufacturers, you need technical information, delivery terms and references you can verify. A certification claim in a catalogue is no substitute for checking the document, its scope and whether it remains valid.

Documents to request

Ask for dimensioned drawings, usable interior floor area, wall and roof construction, insulation performance, ventilation, electrical and plumbing specifications, weight, transport dimensions and assembly instructions. Ask which climate and use the unit was designed for. A holiday unit may not meet the requirements for a permanent home at its intended destination.

Make quotations comparable

Request a written quote stating the currency, taxes, inclusions, exclusions, lead time, warranty, repairs and availability of replacement parts. For imports, agree who is responsible for transport, customs, unloading and commissioning. Compare homes with equivalent usable area and equipment.

Before paying a deposit

Check the company’s legal identity, completed projects you can independently verify and after-sales support. Discuss the proposed site, permissions and technical requirements with a local professional. A manufacturer profile on this website is editorial information, not an endorsement.

Compare answers, not just catalogues

Choose two or three proposals and request the same information for the configuration you would buy. Mark a missing document as “not supplied”. This lets you request clarification without treating missing information as a demonstrated capability.

Area Evidence to request
Specific product Model, drawing and quoted equipment
Installation Responsibility for documentation, delivery and connection
After purchase Contact, incident procedure and support conditions

This table is an editorial purchasing suggestion, not a manufacturer audit. Information published by the business should remain identified as its own claim until the relevant verification is available.
