Buying a prefab home in Costa Rica may mean commissioning a home, purchasing a concrete system or coordinating materials and construction with a builder. This selection brings together fourteen documented options, identifying each company’s stated role. Comparison focuses on product, delivery and responsibilities; it is not a size ranking or an assumption that all own complete-home factories.
Editorial selection based on the linked official pages read on 19 October 2026. Supplier statements are identified as such; the purchasing questions are our analysis. This is not a ranking by sales, a factory audit or a paid placement.

1. Concrepal
Concrepal’s catalogue distinguishes solutions including horizontal prefab and NovaPrefa. That system-based organisation helps buyers ask which products and services belong to the specific offer. We do not count each commercial system as a separate company.
Our comparison question: Does the quote cover components only, or also construction and finishes?
Official source reviewed · 19/10/2026
2. PRENAC
PRENAC lists columns and panels for homes and other buildings alongside a wider concrete-product range. For housing, the next step is an element schedule and service scope rather than inferring turnkey delivery from the general catalogue.
Our comparison question: Which components, drawings and services are supplied for this home?
Official source reviewed · 19/10/2026
3. Prefabricados San Carlos
Prefabricados San Carlos describes designing, manufacturing and constructing prefab homes and reinforced-concrete structures. Its page also lists other products. Identify which contracting arrangement applies to the residential project under enquiry.
Our comparison question: Who coordinates design, supply, installation and work outside the package?
Official source reviewed · 19/10/2026
Sources expanded and reviewed on 22 October 2026. The three original companies’ pages have been reread and eleven profiles added. Descriptions draw on company statements; questions are editorial analysis. Related locations, brands, systems and sales networks do not increase the count.
4. IDS Casas Modulares / Grupo IDS
Publishes smooth-wall, slab-and-column systems alongside drawings, permits and construction services. IDS Casas and parent IDS Consultores are grouped as one option; systems are not counted as separate companies.
Our comparison question: Are you contracting components, technical design or complete construction, and which entity is responsible for each stage?
Official source reviewed · 22/10/2026
5. Prefabricados Mariana
Its website locates the business in Corredores, Puntarenas, listing homes, walls, columns and posts. Confirm transport coverage for the actual plot; a reference to nearby locations does not mean included nationwide delivery.
Our comparison question: What is included in the package, where is it shipped from and which works are excluded?
Official source reviewed · 22/10/2026
6. Prefabricados Cordero
Distinguishes column-and-slab homes from its Wall-Block system. It publishes locations in Alajuela and Guanacaste, which are not counted as two companies. Comparison requires selecting the system and offered completion level.
Our comparison question: Which system is proposed, who installs it and which supply specification defines the completed home?
Official source reviewed · 22/10/2026
7. Corporación Solano / Grupo Solano
Describes modules for housing, tourism, offices and institutions and states production in Belén, Heredia. Its stainless-steel and transport divisions are group activities, not additional housing factories in this selection.
Our comparison question: Which housing model is quoted, and are transport, lifting, foundations and connections included?
Official source reviewed · 22/10/2026
8. Inprefa
Publishes homes, classrooms and warehouses alongside columns and slabs, identifying prestressed and reinforced concrete manufacture. Distinguish component supply from the contracted installation or construction scope.
Our comparison question: Is delivery materials, a shell or a complete home, and who completes the roof and services?
Official source reviewed · 22/10/2026
9. Prefavolcán
Identifies its location in Volcán de Buenos Aires, Puntarenas, offering columns, slabs and housing designs. This documents systems and materials; the scope of an occupancy-ready home requires a specific proposal.
Our comparison question: Request the component list, transport, installation and remaining work needed to complete the home.
Official source reviewed · 22/10/2026
10. Holcim Costa Rica / Sistema Prefa Holcim
The page describes prestressed columns and reinforced precast concrete walls for single-storey construction. Holcim is the system supplier here: this page is not an equipped-home contract. Its sales network is not counted separately.
Our comparison question: Who designs and installs the system on your plot, and which documents apply to that configuration?
Official source reviewed · 22/10/2026
11. Constructora La Vivienda
Presents advice, designs, construction and materials packages for a habitable shell. That scope distinction is useful: the word home may describe a design, a package or a construction service.
Our comparison question: Does the offer cover a materials package or a built home, and how does the contract define a habitable shell?
Official source reviewed · 22/10/2026
12. SuPrefa
Publishes slabs, columns, blocks, walls and home designs. Its San Carlos and Guanacaste locations form one commercial option. General materials statements are not extended to certification of every home.
Our comparison question: Which products and quantities are you buying, how are installation and transport coordinated and who completes the home?
Official source reviewed · 22/10/2026
13. Constructora MyF
Offers prefab packages and construction, shell work, management and permit services. It is included as a builder; its page does not establish in-house manufacture of every offered component.
Our comparison question: Identify the system supplier, package inclusions and turnkey scope for your plot.
Official source reviewed · 22/10/2026
14. ArkiSur
Explains a turnkey service using partnerships with manufacturers, suppliers and importers. Its role is construction and supply coordination, not a housing factory accredited by CasasCápsula.
Our comparison question: Who manufactures the chosen system, and who contracts design, construction, warranties and site work?
Official source reviewed · 22/10/2026
The key distinction: buying materials or commissioning a home
We suggest requesting two complementary documents: a supply list and a work schedule through to handover. Assign responsibility for foundations, assembly, roof, installations, finishes and connections. Do not assume a task belongs to the manufacturer simply because another offer omits it.
For a private buyer, the practical issue is what else needs contracting. For an architect or builder, it is the information and coordination required to incorporate the system into the project. These are different scope enquiries about the same commercial offer.
Three useful ways to frame an enquiry
For supply, describe the project and request elements, quantities and system documentation. For an installed envelope, define the completion milestone. For a finished home, ask what finished means in the offer and what still depends on third parties.
We do not present these as contract options offered by every company: they are questions for clarifying what each will quote. A written reply can eliminate an unsuitable option before time is spent comparing amounts with different scopes.
What remains unresolved until the project is defined
Commercial resistance or conformity claims require review of the documents applicable to the particular solution. This selection does not verify current certification or replace the responsible professional. Nor does it assign uniform permits, legal timelines or municipal costs.
Our comparison sheet would show company, system, included delivery, external work and information still needed. Keep each offer’s date. For an economical home, compare the full package you need rather than the wall-system line alone.
