The supplier includes an ISO 9001 certificate in its presentation. It may provide useful information about its management system, but you still need to connect the document with the entity, activity and order you are considering. The purchasing question is exactly what it establishes.
Read the subject before the logo
ISO and IAF distinguish quality-management-system certification from certification of the product itself. An ISO 9001 document therefore does not automatically certify a capsule home against every requirement of your project. ISO develops standards; external bodies perform certification.
Our checking sheet
Record the holder, address, scope, standard and edition, issuer, reference and dates shown. Keep the complete file. This is an editorial method for preparing questions: filling these fields does not itself establish authenticity or current validity.
Connect the scope to the purchase
Compare the holder with the contracting company and request an explanation for differences. Read which activities and sites are within scope. If the document covers a trading activity, do not independently describe it as proof of manufacturing every part of the home.
Cross-check independently
ISO’s certification page describes verification routes, including contacting the certification or accreditation body. Find its contact details independently of the supplied file. If a check does not settle the question, leave its status pending; a search without a result is not sufficient grounds to declare a certificate false.
Return to the specific model
Then review drawings, materials, tests and records relevant to the quoted configuration and installation location separately. This guide has not validated any company’s certificates. Nor do we assign one standard edition to every supplier: record what actually appears and ask about its status where necessary.
