A lightweight home still transfers loads to the ground. A manufacturer can understand its frame well and still need site information to resolve supports and anchors. Geotechnics connects these two parts of the project.
Commission the study at the right time
Spain’s DB SE C connects ground investigation to the intended building and its surroundings. Scope depends on ground and construction; two boreholes are not a universal capsule-home recipe. The document places this information early in design.
Our coordination proposal asks the manufacturer to supply reactions at supports, geometry, allowed movement and anchorage needs. The foundation designer should return a solution consistent with ground conditions and site layout. A ground-screw catalogue cannot resolve that exchange alone.
Investigate what may change site work
Fill, water, slopes, aggressiveness and excavation conditions need site-specific review. Allowable movement matters too: a foundation that compromises junctions or doors can cause functional problems without an ultimate structural failure.
Comparing alternatives
- Compare slabs, pads and deeper supports against the same loads and conditions.
- Include preparation, access, drainage and ground reinstatement.
- Specify the tests or execution checks required by the project.
- Separate installation time from readiness to load supports.
- Record final acceptance before placing the module.
The commercial benefit is clearer responsibilities and a quotation based on adequate information. We promise neither a saving percentage nor a fixed study fee: both require the real project. The regulatory reference here is Spain.
