Original AI-generated editorial illustration; not an identified manufacturer’s model or an actual factory visit.
Stepping inside a capsule home changes the conversation. Instead of imagining a bed from a rendering, you can walk through the bathroom, open storage and explore how your routine fits. A visit can give a prospective buyer much more than another collection of photographs.
Organise it around your decision. This guide concerns a visit before choosing the supplier and model. Inspecting an already ordered unit before shipment is a different task, covered in the linked guide.
Visit offers exist, but confirm what you will see
Volferda publishes a showroom section. CGCH says in its FAQ that it has display units at factories in Guangdong and Anhui and asks visitors to contact it to arrange a visit. These are supplier statements: we have not visited those facilities or confirmed schedules, individual model locations or access for a particular buyer.
Before organising travel, request the address, contact person and available models in writing. Establish whether you will see an exhibition, a production area or both. Viewing a finished unit may help with layout decisions; it does not alone establish who manufactures every component.
Bring a routine as well as a question list
Choose scenes from everyday life: entering with luggage, getting out of bed, reaching the bathroom, cooking or working while someone else rests. Explore those situations in the model with permission. A pleasant visit can then produce comparable information.
For guest accommodation, also consider cleaning and changing bed linen. You do not need to become an inspector to recognise an uncomfortable route or request a better view of maintenance access.
The showroom and your order should concern the same model
Ask which displayed finishes and appliances are optional and what the quotation will contain. Keep the reference and a plan copy. If you see a larger version, ask what changes in the one you are considering.
| During the visit | What to take away |
|---|---|
| The model you like | Reference and plan of the compared version |
| Finishes and equipment | A list separating included items and options |
| Layout | Notes on your everyday routes |
| Production | An explanation of the process you actually saw |
| Next step | Responsible person and outstanding quotation documents |
Request specific demonstrations
Where possible and authorised, ask to see equipment operating and access to frequently used components. For insulation, structure or concealed joints, request documents or a process explanation. Tapping a wall or interpreting a photograph is not a substitute.
Every demonstration has conditions. Note which unit you saw and what happened. Do not turn it into accredited thermal, acoustic or safety evidence for your plot.
What if you cannot travel?
Suggest a video call following an agreed route: exterior, entrance, rooms and details of interest. Distinguish the demonstrated unit from the one to be quoted. The call can help identify unanswered questions, but we do not present it as equivalent to a physical visit or independent inspection.
A useful remote conversation may also show that travel is premature: if use, model or supply scope remains undefined, clarify those first.
Finish with a decision sheet
Separate three columns: what you liked, what you could check and what still needs documentation. Give each unanswered question a next step. This keeps the excitement of finding a home that suits you while ensuring the visit produces more than a folder of photos.
We do not provide a visit schedule or represent these factories. The guide helps you get more from a visit arranged directly with the supplier.
